Glenn & Esther Troyer opened Glenhaven Cabin in January of 2000. It is built on the edge of Silver Maple Farm, in a 6-acre, secluded and private meadow. This genuine log cabin, built with logs that were shipped from Montana, has a cozy, peaceful atmosphere due to its structure and location. Although it may take one back to the days of “Ma & Pa†in the Big Woods, it has all of today’s conveniences and amenities from carpeted floors, remote controlled gas fireplace, to satellite TV.
Glenn and his son Matt operate Silver Maple Farms raising wheat, corn, and soybeans. Glenn and Esther have 3 children and 12 grandchildren. The goal of the Troyer family is to create a place where people can come to get away from all the demands of a busy schedule and be refreshed in body and spirit.
The kitchen is fully furnished with cookware, dinnerware, flatware, cooking utensils, electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, dining set with 2 chairs, and a gas grill on a deck right off the kitchen. Continental breakfast food is furnished for your first morning’s stay.
The living room features a remote controlled gas fireplace, satellite TV, DVD player, and sofa and chair. The loft is roomy and has a queen size log bed, Jacuzzi, TV, hickory rocker, and extra quilts and pillows. A full bathroom is on the main floor and a half bath in the loft. There are books, magazines, candles, and board games throughout the cabin.
Glenhaven has 3 porches: one off the kitchen with a gas grill, a screened porch with wicker furniture facing the east to watch the sunrise, and one facing west with rockers to watch the sunset. A fire pit is located beyond the pine trees and is stocked with wood.
This is a great spot for couples to experience a romantic get away, celebrate an anniversary, a birthday, or just spend quality time together. It is family friendly and children are always welcome.
Glenhaven Cabin is ideal for out-door weddings, receptions, and family reunions.
We offer a smoke free and pet free environment.
